From Root To Crown

Awaken your inner alignment

Solar Plexus Chakra

This is the inner fire of your being, where clarity becomes courage, and truth becomes action. It is the forge of your will, the place where you remember that power does not come from force, but from alignment. Here, you reclaim the right to choose yourself. To move forward with zero apologies. This is where your boundaries are shaped, your gut speaks clearly and your radiance becomes leadership.

AHO, ASE, AMEN

Core Themes and Healing Focus

The Solar Plexus Chakra or Manipura, is the radiant center of your inner authority. It governs personal power, self-worth, confidence, and will. This is where you begin to ask, “Who am I when I stop performing?” and “What would it look like to trust my gut… and act on it?” When this chakra is strong and balanced, you lead yourself with clarity, you know what you want, and you take action rooted in truth rather than pressure.

Energetically and biologically, the solar plexus is the home of digestion and discernment. It’s where you metabolize food, yes; but also experiences, emotions, and energy. When your system is overloaded, this center becomes sluggish, dimmed, or inflamed. You might feel bloated, indecisive, anxious, overly controlling, or burned out. Healing here often involves releasing old stories around power, performance, and perfectionism, especially those inherited through family, religious conditioning, or cultural expectations.

This week, we enter the fire. Not to be consumed by it, but to be refined by it. Our focus is on reclaiming the parts of us that have felt unsafe to lead, the parts that have been silenced, shamed, or collapsed in the presence of others. We will explore what it means to move from self-recognition, not external validation; to take up space without apology, and to allow our inner fire to burn clean, not destructive. You are invited to remember that your power is not something to earn… it is something to embody.

Location: Upper abdomen, just below the sternum (diaphragm area)

Element: Fire

Color: Yellow

Developmental Age: 14–21 years

Sacred Themes: Self-worth, Power, Will, Identity, Autonomy, Boundaries, Confidence

I do not come to consume you. I come to reveal what has always burned beneath your forgetting. I am the memory of your original power, steady, wild and yours to reclaim. Stand in me, and watch what is false turn to smoke.

When The Solar Plexus Chakra is Balanced

You stand in your truth without aggression or apology

  • You take aligned action and follow through with ease

  • You trust yourself FULLY. Your gut, your instincts, your choices

  • You own your “no” as much as your “yes”

  • You don’t need to prove or perform, your presence speaks

  • Others experience you as grounded, self-responsible, and bright

When The Solar Plexus Chakra is Blocked or WoundeD

Often stems from authoritarian parenting, religious control, bullying, shame around personal expression, or trauma that crushed your inner fire.

Symptoms might include:

  • Low self-esteem, self-doubt, people-pleasing

  • Indecisiveness, procrastination, fear of failure or judgment

  • Aggression or controlling behavior (overcompensation)

  • Digestive issues (IBS, bloating, ulcers), adrenal dysregulation

  • Chronic fatigue, lack of motivation, burnout

  • Guilt or shame around success, visibility, or taking up space

I was born to run with the wind in my lungs and the sun on my spine. I do not ask permission to move, I just move. Let me show you how to remember the rhymth, of your own power, the pulse of your instincts, the fire that lives in your belly when no one is watching.

Bringing Healing to This Chakra

Healing the Solar Plexus is not about becoming louder, stronger, or more aggressive, it’s about remembering the quiet force that has always lived inside of you. It’s a reclamation of your right to choose yourself, to lead yourself, and to trust the wisdom of your own instincts. This chakra heals when we stop outsourcing our direction and begin returning to the sacred intelligence within.

Much of the pain stored in this center stems from chronic override; the learned survival pattern of ignoring your gut, abandoning your truth, or performing to maintain peace. Whether shaped by family dynamics, religion, schooling, or cultural expectations, many of us learned that our power was unsafe, that having needs, desires, or boundaries would cost us connection. Solar Plexus healing requires us to unlearn those old contracts and choose self-respect over self-abandonment.

Because the Solar Plexus is also the seat of digestion, healing this center often involves tending to your physical gut with deep care, while also tending to your energetic digestion.

What are you consuming emotionally, spiritually, and relationally that your system can’t process?

Are you holding rage that’s never had a safe place to land?

Are you clenching your belly in anxiety or second-guessing yourself into stagnation?

These are invitations to metabolize what’s been stuck.

To heal this chakra is to walk with your fire instead of fearing it. That might look like learning how to say no without guilt. It might mean making a decision without polling everyone first. It might be finally asking: What do I want? And then letting your body answer before your mind interrupts. It means choosing aligned action over perfection, and letting go of who you were told to be.

Solar Plexus healing doesn’t always roar; sometimes it whispers: You don’t have to prove yourself anymore. You can stop performing. You can stop shrinking. You can stop trying to be palatable to systems that were never built to honor your full light. You are already enough. Your fire has never gone out, only waited for your return.

This week, we’ll be focusing on rebuilding self-trust, clearing inherited power stories, and reactivating the body’s natural confidence through somatic energy work, breath practices, and ritualized movement. You will be invited to take one small, clear, aligned action in your outer life that reflects the inner power you are reclaiming.

Through this, we begin to embody that healing is not just a feeling…it’s a direction.

Fire Medicine: A Solar Plexus Ceremony of Reclamation

A ritual of release, remembrance, and radiant self-return.

Overview:

This is a ceremonial rite of passage, not just a release, but a return. In this ritual, we enter the sacred field of Fire Medicine to honor the Solar Plexus chakra, The Manipura….the seat of your channel, the city of shining jewels, the forge of your will, the radiant core of your truth.

You are not here to become powerful.

You are here to remember that you already are.

This fire will help you shed the false identities and inherited beliefs that have dimmed your light. It will help you reclaim your knowing, your instincts, and your capacity to act in alignment with your sacred yes.

What You’ll Need:

  • A real outdoor fire: bonfire, fire pit, cauldron, or safe burn bowl

  • Strips of paper or natural parchment

  • Pen

  • Optional: lemon or ginger essential oil (anoint belly/sacral area)

The Fire Medicine Ceremony

1. Prepare the Field

Before lighting the fire, walk the perimeter of your space and whisper:

“I walk the edges of what I’m ready to release. I call forward what is true and mine.”

Light your fire with intention and say:

“This is Fire Medicine… not to destroy, but to reveal. I enter this ceremony ready to remember who I am.”

2. The Write + Burn

Sit near the fire. Place your hand on your solar plexus (just above the navel) and ask:

What beliefs, stories, or emotions have made me doubt my power? Where am I ready to stop shrinking?

Write 1–3 truths you’re ready to release. Examples:

  • “I release the belief that I must earn my worth.”

  • “I release the fear of being too much.”

  • “I release guilt for choosing myself.”

One at a time, hold each strip of paper to your chest, speak the words aloud, then offer it to the fire:

“I release this from my field. Let it turn to smoke. Let it rise.”

Let the flames receive it. Watch it disappear.

3. Embodied Reclamation

When your releases are complete, stand tall before the fire.

Place both hands on your belly and declare:

I call my power home. I take up space with truth and clarity. I lead myself.”

Say it again, louder if you can. This is your solar plexus reactivating.

4. Sit with the Medicine of Fire

Do not rush away.

Stay by the flames. Sit in silence. Let the fire do what it’s always done:

Transmute. Illuminate. Witness.

Let the smoke carry your name into the unseen.

Let the warmth soothe your belly.

Let the movement of the flames teach you how to hold your own energy, not in tension, but in rhythm.

This is your integration.

“I am not afraid of my fire. I tend it. I move with it. I become it.”

Closing Line (when ready to walk away):

“Let what is false be burned. Let what is true remain.

And let this light walk with me.”

AND SO IT BE. AHO

The emotional & spiritual Integration of the Solar Plexus Chakra

The Solar Plexus chakra is where your soul’s will meets the material world. This is the fire that says I am, I choose, I act. When this energy center is balanced, we experience a deep inner knowing; the quiet confidence to move forward without external validation, and the ability to discern what is aligned from what is not. But when it is imbalanced, our will can collapse into apathy, burnout, or chronic self-doubt. Spiritually, this center holds your contract with self-leadership; the ability to walk forward in your truth, even when the path is unclear.

Energetically, the Solar Plexus stores both personal and ancestral experiences of power, how we’ve used it, misused it, feared it, or been punished for expressing it. Many of us carry old soul wounds or generational memories tied to control, shame, or obedience. When this chakra is overwhelmed, we may overextend ourselves, over-apologize, or live in a chronic state of striving for approval. When underactive, we may shrink, hesitate, or numb ourselves to avoid failure.

Integration this week means returning to the center of your own authority, not through dominance, but through sacred clarity.

This chakra is also the threshold where ego and soul learn to work together. Ego says “I must do this to be worthy.” Soul says “I am already whole.” True power is not about force; it’s about alignment. When you begin to listen to your gut feelings, make choices that honor your boundaries, and say yes only when you mean it, you begin to embody the radiant fire of your Solar Plexus. It’s the difference between action rooted in fear, and action led by soul sovereignty.

This week examine these questions

Where in my life have I given my power away, and why?

What am I trying to control because I don’t feel safe trusting?

Who taught me that confidence was dangerous, selfish, or “too much”?

What would it feel like to take up space without apology?

Am I acting from alignment, or from the fear of what others will think?

What part of me is ready to stand at the center of my own fire?

Solar Plexus Chakra Support Tools

Solar Plexus herbs are all centered around inner fire, digestion, willpower, clarity and gut sovereignty

Ginger: Warming, stimulating, and deeply awakening to the digestive fire (agni), ginger is a quintessential Solar Plexus ally. It helps clear stagnation, promote circulation, and activate courage and clarity at the cellular level.

Turmeric: This golden root is a solar tonic; anti-inflammatory, liver-supportive, and energetically cleansing. Turmeric supports the solar plexus by helping the body release stored anger, toxicity, and inflammation that dull the inner fire.

Dandelion Root: A fierce yet gentle detoxifier, dandelion root supports the liver and gallbladder. These are organs that correspond with decision-making and emotional digestion. It helps us clear resentment and act from truth rather than reaction. (what other Chakra receives support from this ally?)

Chamomile: Though often associated with calming, chamomile also tones the Solar Plexus by helping regulate digestive spasms and ease emotional tension stored in the gut. Its bitter-sweet profile gently restores confidence to a nervous system that’s been on edge.

Lemon Balm: This lemon-scented herb soothes anxiety and supports the gut-brain axis. It calms Solar Plexus overload, especially when overthinking, perfectionism, or control have pushed the body into sympathetic dominance.

Cinnamon: A warming, blood-moving herb that supports metabolism and inner fire. Cinnamon’s sweet heat strengthens confidence and awakens embodied power while also stabilizing blood sugar and digestive flow.

Calendula: A beautiful solar flower that cleanses the lymph and supports gentle detoxification. Calendula works on the subtle emotional layers of the Solar Plexus, helping release shame and softening walls built from fear of being seen.

Peppermint: Cooling and clarifying, peppermint helps regulate digestive energy and clear the fog of over analysis. It offers mental clarity, gut stimulation, and a breath of fresh air for a stuck or spinning Solar Plexus.

Holy Basil (Tulsi): Though often linked with the Heart and Crown, Tulsi holds a Solar Plexus frequency when it comes to reclaiming sacred discipline. It helps align personal will with divine timing, softening ego rigidity while strengthening the fire of devotion.

Yarrow: A boundary guardian and gut healer, yarrow is ideal for the Solar Plexus of empaths and energetically porous beings. It strengthens energetic containment and helps sever cords that siphon personal power. (what other Chakra receives support from this ally?)

Most of these supports can be purchased from your grocery store! For some of the more specific herbs you can check out Mountain Rose Herbs… pro tip…I love incorporating Tulsi and peppermint as hydrosol sprays to be used on my body, sheets, clothes and in the air. Mountain Rose has wonderful and very inexpensive hydrosols as well!

Color TherapY

The Solar Plexus Chakra is ruled by the color yellow; the hue of sunlight, clarity, and inner illumination. Working with yellow tones nourishes the energetic center of personal power, will, and self-worth. Yellow speaks to the part of us that is ready to shine, take up space, and move with purpose. It reactivates confidence, clears mental fog, and revitalizes the digestive fire.

Yellow awakens the intellect, energizes the nervous system, and reconnects you to your inner “yes.” It’s a clarifying color that lifts the veil of self-doubt and inspires decisive action. In the energy field, yellow often appears when someone is ready to step out of fear and reclaim authorship over their story.

Ways to Work with Yellow for Solar Plexus Healing:

  • Wear yellow clothing or accessories (like scarves, stones, or undergarments) to support confidence and presence.

  • Eat yellow foods: like squash, pineapple, banana, lemon, and golden beets; to stoke digestive fire and energetic radiance.

  • Visualize golden light flooding your upper abdomen during meditation, especially when calling your power back.

  • Work in sunlight or place your hands over your solar plexus while absorbing the morning sun to charge this center.

  • Use yellow candles during rituals of empowerment, decision-making, or boundary setting.

Deeper Color Codes:

Golden yellows activate leadership and clarity, while soft buttery tones support gentle self-assurance and healing from burnout or people-pleasing. Sharp, electric yellows may reveal overstimulation or anxiety: guiding you to recalibrate your inner flame instead of forcing the light.

Animal Totems

  • Ram: The classical totem of Manipura, the Ram is ruled by Agni, the Vedic fire god. It represents courageous initiation, forward motion, and the ability to break through stagnation when your soul demands action.

  • Lion: Solar in nature, the Lion teaches embodied confidence, healthy pride, and leadership rooted in heart-centered truth. It activates the kind of power that doesn’t dominate , it simply radiates.

  • Tiger: The Tiger brings instinctual power, embodied presence, and sovereign strength. It governs boundaries and reminds us that true will arises from knowing what to protect; and when to strike.

  • Horse: The Horse offers medicine of liberated momentum and authentic self-expression. Its power lies in its ability to hold wildness and discipline together, guiding you to channel your energy with grace, purpose, and freedom.

  • Hawk: The Hawk carries sharp solar vision and the capacity to act on intuitive clarity. It reminds us that aligned action begins not just with knowing, but with the willingness to rise above the noise and trust your gut.

  • Honeybee: The Honeybee is a sacred symbol of purpose, productivity, and service. It reflects the Solar Plexus’ ability to transmute will into collective nourishment, offering the medicine of aligned work, harmonious action, and inner sweetness through discipline.

Oracle Closing Prayer

I give thanks for the sacred fire that lives within me

the fire that warms, that transforms, that remembers.

I honor the wisdom of my Solar Plexus,

the sacred forge of identity, will, and intuitive knowing.

I now call my power home.

From every place I left it behind…

through self-abandonment, people-pleasing, old stories, or unconscious cords

I call it back. NOW.

I call my power back from past versions of me,

from projections cast upon me,

from relationships that no longer align.

I breathe it in as golden light

pulsing, radiant, alive in my belly.

I reclaim the vitality that is mine to carry.

I remember that I do not need to earn my worth

I was born worthy.

I now offer a blessing of peace, love, and joy

to anyone who has walked in my field,

knowingly or unknowingly drawn from my light.

I cut cords with love. I release all that is not mine to hold.

I cleanse my field with fire and grace.

I forgive myself for the moments I forgot my power.

I celebrate myself for the journey of remembering.

I seal this work in the light of the midday sun;

strong, sovereign, and clear.

May I walk forward with purpose.

May I speak with clarity.

May I lead from the truth of who I am.

It is done. It is witnessed. It is sealed.

And so I rise.
