From Root To Crown

Awaken your inner alignment

The Crown Chakra

The Crown Chakra is the bridge between the human and the divine; the quiet place where the mind softens and the soul remembers its connection to something larger. This center is not about reaching upward but instead allowing yourself to be open, receptive, and fully present to what flows through you. It is the space where wisdom is not learned but instead revealed, where clarity feels like light pouring into the cracks of your being.

To awaken The Crown is to trust that you are never separate from the guidance and love that holds you.

AHO. ASE. AMEN

Core Themes and Healing Focus

The crown chakra is not accessed by striving upward, it opens by softening inward. This center is not about grasping for enlightenment or performing spirituality; it is about allowing. It reminds us that we are not separate from the sacred. In the stillness of this center, we are invited to dissolve the illusion of control and surrender to the presence of something far more vast…Source, Spirit, Truth…however your body names it. When this chakra is in balance, we feel rooted in our connection to all that is, without needing to prove or defend it.

When imbalanced, the crown can swing in two directions: disconnection or bypass. Disconnection may show up as apathy, isolation, depression, or a sense of meaninglessness. Bypass, on the other hand, can look like floating above the body, denying pain, or using spiritual concepts to avoid doing the actual work of healing. Both ends of the spectrum cut us off from wholeness. The crown does not ask us to escape the human; it asks us to be fully human while remembering we are also infinite.

Healing this center requires trust. Trust in timing, trust in life, trust in the wisdom moving through you even when it makes no logical sense. The nervous system must feel safe enough to receive without overthinking, analyzing, or questioning its worthiness. This is not a mental experience, it is a surrender into the knowing that you are already connected. You always were.

This week, we honor the soft power of the crown, the part of you that doesn’t need to have all the answers, but is willing to sit with the mystery. We won’t force insight. We will create enough spaciousness for it to arrive on its own. The invitation here is not to rise higher, but to root deeper into the truth that you are already held.

Location: Top of the head / slightly above the crown

Element: Cosmic Energy / Spirit

Color: Violet or white

Developmental Age: 43+ years

Sacred Themes: Oneness, Spiritual Connection, Unity Consciousness, Higher Self, Liberation, Surrender, Divine Wisdom

I am not something you earn.

I am what remains when you stop running.

I do not arrive with noise, I arrive with quiet.

When you stop trying to become, I will remind you that you already are.

Open, and I will pour into you what you thought that you had to chase.

There is no veil, only the belief that one exists.

You are not separate. You never were.

-Great Spirit

When The Crown Chakra is Balanced

  • You feel guided by something greater: Source, Spirit, God, the Universe

  • Life feels meaningful, even through pain

  • You access expanded states of awareness (flow, prayer, awe, gratitude)

  • You feel deeply connected to your higher self and soul purpose

  • Ego no longer runs the show, your choices come from alignment

  • You experience moments of bliss, stillness, and universal love

When The Crown Chakra is Blocked or WoundeD

This often stems from spiritual trauma, religious dogma, chronic disconnection from wonder or soul, or feeling abandoned by God/Spirit in times of suffering.

Symptoms might include:

  • Feeling spiritually disconnected, cynical, or alone

  • Existential despair, lack of meaning or faith

  • Feeling ungrounded, “floaty,” dissociated, or over-reliant on bypassing

  • Closed-mindedness, rigid beliefs, or spiritual superiority

  • Headaches, neurological issues, migraines

  • Loss of purpose, depression, disillusionment

I do not fly to escape the Earth, I rise so I can see it clearly.

From above, the patterns makes sense.

The chaos becomes order. The story reveals its shape.

But I do not stay in the sky. I return. I land. I act.

True vision is not for hoarding, it is for serving.

You are being asked to rise, yes.

But not to drift.

To return with the message.

To speak what you see.

And to live in alignment with the truth you can no longer unknow.

Bringing Healing to This Chakra

Sahasrara, the seventh energy center, is not about rising higher, it is about remembering you were never separate.

The Crown Chakra is often misunderstood as a destination, but it is really a return. It is not something we reach; it is something that opens when the body, mind, and spirit feel safe enough to soften. This center governs our connection to Source, to unity, to the sacred intelligence that weaves through all things. When balanced, the crown brings peace, trust, and a quiet knowing that life is not happening to us, but with us. When blocked, we may feel isolated, spiritually numb, or perpetually disconnected from meaning. We may crave guidance but feel cut off from it.

Crown wounds often form when our trust in something larger has been shattered; through betrayal, loss, control-based religion, spiritual gaslighting, or emotional abandonment. Sometimes the wound shows up in the form of bypass, where we leave the body in search of something transcendent, when what we really need is to come home to it. At other times, it shows up as despair; a belief that there is nothing holding us, nothing real beyond this suffering. Both are symptoms of the same fracture: separation from the sacred within.

To heal Sahasrara is to release the pressure to know. It is to step out of intellectual control and into a deeper kind of receptivity. We slow down. We listen. We welcome ritual. We lean into practices that calm the nervous system and cultivate stillness: walking meditation, candle gazing, breathwork, plant medicine, sound, and silence. We begin to trust not in outcomes, but in presence itself. The medicine here is not about becoming more spiritual. It is about realizing that you already are.

Crown Chakra Ritual: “The Listening”

This is a ritual of stillness. A space to listen, not to your thoughts, but to what lives beneath them. This practice doesn’t require candles or water. Just you, your breath, and a willingness to be with what is.

You’ll need:

  • A quiet space

  • A cushion, blanket, or floor

  • 10–15 minutes of uninterrupted time

1. Arrive

Sit comfortably with your spine upright, but soft. Let your shoulders drop. Let your hands rest gently on your thighs or over your heart.

Begin by noticing your breath. No need to change it. Just observe. Follow it like a thread. Let your awareness land at the crown of your head. Imagine this space not opening upward, but deepening inward.

Repeat silently:

“I do not need to rise. I need to return.”

2. Breathe With Intention

Begin a simple rhythmic breath:

  • Inhale for 4

  • Hold for 4

  • Exhale for 6

Let this rhythm wash through you. Do this for 4–6 rounds. With each round, imagine any static, noise, or striving melting away from your system.

Repeat silently:

“I do not need to seek. I need to listen.”

3. Anchor the Connection

Now, place your right hand on the top of your head, and your left hand over your heart. Feel the space between them. The bridge. The channel.

Stay here for a few breaths and say (out loud or within):

“I am connected. I am supported. I am known.”

Let the body feel it, not just the mind.

4. Close in Stillness

Release your hands. Sit for a few more minutes with your eyes closed or softly open. Let whatever thoughts or sensations arise do so without judgment.

You don’t need to analyze. You don’t need to explain.

You’re not asking for signs or answers.

You’re practicing being in relationship with something bigger, and letting that be enough.

When you’re ready, take one more deep breath and whisper:

“I remember.”

End here.

The emotional & spiritual Integration of

the Crown Chakra

The Crown Chakra is the sacred bridge between self and Source. It is not a center of effort, but of surrender. When open and balanced, this energy center reminds us that we are never separate; that the divine lives within us, and we are threaded into the wider web of creation. Sahasrara is the seat of unity consciousness. It governs our capacity to trust life, to feel held by something greater, and to receive guidance beyond logic or linear thought. Here, we come to remember that healing is not a solo journey, it is a return to the Great Belonging.

Emotionally, this center holds the tension between control and trust. When wounded, we may feel disconnected from purpose, trapped in existential questioning, or overly attached to certainty, achievement, or intellectual proof. We may fear surrender because it feels like loss of control. We may confuse divine alignment with spiritual bypassing or bypass truth in the name of transcendence. Emotionally, it may manifest as numbness, apathy, or an inability to feel connected to others or to Source. Spiritually, we may experience periods of spiritual depression, nihilism, or collapse into “nothing matters” thinking when the crown is blocked. This is a signal to root down and reconnect from the ground up.

This chakra initiates us into radical trust; not blind faith, but soul-deep knowing. As we begin to release the inherited fear that we are alone, we reclaim a sense of sacred partnership with the unseen realms. Here we open to divine timing, allow stillness to be medicine, and soften into support. We stop gripping for answers and begin to receive revelations. The more we anchor into our bodies, the more we can open to what is beyond them. Paradox becomes holy. Rest becomes holy. We stop searching for something “out there” and come home to what is already within.

Somatically, Sahasrara governs the crown of the head, the pineal gland, and our brain’s energy field. It is sensitive to overstimulation, EMFs, spiritual exhaustion, and chronic disconnection from natural rhythms. Integration of this center calls for practices that honor both spiritual attunement and physical embodiment: grounding rituals, time in silence, spiritual communion through nature, and recalibration through breath, light, and intention. Emotionally, it asks:

Where am I still seeking outside of myself what can only be found within?

What would it feel like to be guided…not by fear, but by grace?

Where do I need to remember that I am already held?

We are not here to escape the body, we are here to bring the divine all the way in.

Crown Chakra Support Tools

Herbs that support the Crown Chakra help quiet the overactive mind, expand perception, and restore our connection to Source. These are not escape herbs; they are plants that gently lift the veil while anchoring us in the truth of our divine design. They work across the brain, nervous system, and energetic field to regulate, open, and attune us to higher wisdom.

  • Gotu Kola – A revered brain tonic in Ayurvedic medicine, Gotu Kola nourishes the crown by enhancing clarity, memory, and meditative awareness. It gently quiets anxiety and supports spiritual receptivity without sedating the mind.

  • Tulsi (Holy Basil) – A sacred adaptogen known as “The Incomparable One,” Tulsi opens the heart and crown simultaneously, balancing cortisol, clearing the aura, and attuning the spirit to divine order. I work with Tulsi daily in my own practice.

  • Lavender – Soothes the nervous system, calms racing thoughts, and facilitates gentle spiritual connection. Lavender is helpful for crown dissonance manifesting as insomnia, overwhelm, or spiritual exhaustion.

  • Mugwort – A dreamwork and visionary herb, Mugwort is powerful for those called to receive messages from beyond the veil. It enhances intuition and opens the door to altered states. Best used with clear intention and grounding support.

  • Reishi Mushroom – Known as the “Mushroom of Immortality,” Reishi connects heaven and earth, regulates the immune system, calms the Shen (spirit), and fosters a peaceful inner sanctuary for divine connection to land. I use this beautiful healer daily in my own medicine.

  • Blue Lotus – A deeply sacred plant long used in Egyptian and Eastern medicine, Blue Lotus enhances intuition, dreamwork, and trance states. This flower soothes the crown, encourages spiritual awakening, and deepens meditative presence.

  • Frankincense – Not just an anointing oil, but a nervous system regulator and pineal gland activator. Frankincense clears energetic residue, enhances spiritual clarity, and reconnects us to sacred breath and ancient wisdom.

These plant allies are best used in ceremonial teas, tinctures, oils, or steams…not as quick fixes, but as sacred companions on your path back to wholeness.

Religious Conditioning & The Crown Chakra

  • Let this be your permission slip

The Crown chakra is the gateway to the infinite; the place where we remember we are not separate from the divine, but made of it. It is the temple of direct communion, where truth is not taught, but known. Yet for many, this portal has been clouded by early religious conditioning, teachings that sought to control rather than connect, to bind rather than bless.

In many traditions, we were told that God was outside of us… distant, often male, wrathful, conditional. We were warned that our intuition was dangerous, that questioning was rebellion, that truth could only be spoken by men behind pulpits or hidden in ancient texts. We were taught that the body was untrustworthy, that desire was sinful, that obedience was holier than discernment. These messages do not just live in the mind, they become embedded in the nervous system and anchored in the crown.

When the crown chakra is shaped by these inherited scripts, we may feel an unshakable spiritual insecurity; not because we lack faith, but because our faith was taught to fear itself. We may second-guess our inner voice, wrestle with guilt when we explore new spiritual paths, or feel anxiety when stepping outside the lines of doctrine. Even after we leave the church, mosque, or temple, the imprint can remain: a silent shame that whispers, “You are not worthy to know God on your own.”

But the sacred does not require permission. You do not need a translator to speak to Spirit. You are already fluent in the language of the divine.

To heal the crown chakra from religious conditioning is not to reject the sacred…it is to reclaim it. It is to remember that divinity has always been within you, waiting patiently for your return. It is to dissolve the illusion of separation and reunite with the quiet, resounding truth that you are not just connected to Source, you are an expression of it.

Let yourself return. Not to the version of God that required you to be small, silent, or ashamed, but to the vast, unnameable presence that holds you exactly as you are. The one that speaks through intuition, through nature, through stillness. The one that does not punish your questions, but meets them with light.

You were never meant to fear the divine. You were meant to remember it lives within you.

Crystals for Stability & ProtectioN

1. Amethyst- A classic crown chakra stone that offers both spiritual attunement and psychic protection. Amethyst calms mental chatter, clears energetic clutter, and shields the auric field during meditation or spiritual work. It helps prevent overwhelm and keeps spiritual exploration grounded in discernment.

2. Lepidolite- Rich in lithium, Lepidolite is a stabilizing crystal that soothes anxiety and nervous system agitation often triggered during spiritual awakening. It balances the crown by softening overstimulation and encouraging integration of spiritual insight into daily life. Think of it as a gentle balm for the sensitive seeker.

3. Clear Quartz- While amplifying energy, Clear Quartz also helps purify and stabilize the crown’s frequency. It brings clarity without overwhelm and can be programmed for protection during energy work. Its structure helps harmonize the full energetic system while keeping the crown aligned with truth.

4. Selenite- This high-frequency stone connects deeply to the crown chakra, but also offers energetic clearing and boundary protection. Selenite acts like a tuning fork; clearing stagnant energy and aligning the body with divine frequency while keeping your spiritual channel clean and protected. Excellent for space clearing and post-ritual grounding.

5. Apophyllite-Often used in meditation, Apophyllite helps access higher dimensions while keeping the crown chakra protected and stable. It encourages pure connection without energetic entanglement or psychic leakage. Ideal for those doing spiritual channeling or mediumship who need a grounded light frequency.

6. Danburite- Danburite opens the crown and heart simultaneously, creating a gentle bridge between divine connection and emotional grounding. It stabilizes the emotional body while allowing deep spiritual insight to land without overwhelm. A powerful stone for healing religious trauma or opening to spiritual guidance in a safe, embodied way.

Sound Tools for Crown Chakra Healing

1. Seed Mantra: OM (AUM)

The bija (seed) mantra of the crown chakra is OM, considered the primordial sound of creation. Chanting OM reverberates through the entire energetic system, dissolving ego, quieting mental chatter, and restoring unity with Source. Its resonance opens the gateway between the human and the divine; best chanted aloud, slowly, with full breath support.

2. Frequency: 963 Hz

Known as the “God Frequency” or the frequency of divine consciousness, 963 Hz aligns the crown with unity, universal wisdom, and spiritual awakening. Listening to soundscapes in this frequency range can support meditative states, clarity, and deep cellular recalibration. Ideal for crown chakra meditation or post-ritual integration.

3. Crystal Singing Bowls (B Note)

The B note corresponds to the crown chakra. When played on a crystal singing bowl, it creates a high, ethereal resonance that clears static from the upper chakras and helps the nervous system relax into spiritual presence. Layered with silence, it becomes a powerful clearing tool before or after deep spiritual work.

4. Chimes or Koshi Bells (Air Element)

Koshi chimes in the Air or Ether tuning can help clear mental fog and elevate perception. Their light, cascading tones work well for clearing spiritual overwhelm or energetic heaviness in the crown. These tools are especially helpful when transitioning between states; sleep, ceremony, meditation, or rest.

5. Tuning Forks (Crown-Specific Sets)

Specialized tuning forks (like the Biosonic 963 Hz fork or planetary tuning forks tuned to Neptune or Uranus) help balance the electromagnetic field and gently stimulate the pineal gland. Applied around the head, temples, or crown, they open spiritual receptivity while stabilizing the energetic body.

6. Vocal Toning (Open Vowel Sounds)

Using the voice to tone long, open vowel sounds such as “eeee,” “aahhh,” or “oooo” can harmonize the crown chakra from within. These sounds allow you to feel the vibration at the top of your head and anchor presence in the moment. Vocal toning is especially powerful when paired with deep breathwork and stillness.

Color TherapY

The Crown Chakra resonates with the color violet; the highest frequency in the visible light spectrum, as well as pure white light, which contains all colors in unity. Violet is the color of transcendence, spiritual wisdom, and divine connection. It represents the merging of form and formlessness, where the ego dissolves and consciousness expands into the sacred field of oneness.

When this chakra is activated, violet carries the energetic signature of truth, serenity, and surrender. It softens the crown of the head, opens the energetic body to receive divine wisdom, and recalibrates the nervous system toward stillness and sacred perception. White light, equally, speaks to wholeness; the integration of all colors, all experiences, all aspects of the self. Working with these color frequencies can help lift the veil of disconnection, dissolve spiritual amnesia, and reweave the threads that connect us to Source. Violet and white light restore our capacity to commune with the divine, not through thought; but through being.

Ways to Work with Violet and White Light:

  • Wear violet or white intentionally through scarves, headwraps, or ceremonial clothing when entering prayer, meditation, or sacred space. These frequencies support reverence and remembrance.

  • Visualize violet light at the crown of your head during meditation, either as a glowing lotus or a radiant spiral of energy. Allow it to expand gently above your body, reconnecting you with Source.

  • Use white light for energetic purification. Imagine it descending through the crown like a waterfall of clarity, washing away stagnant thoughts and reattuning you to your spiritual essence.

  • Decorate your altar or sacred spaces with violet flowers (such as lavender or violet itself), clear quartz, or items that evoke purity, silence, and divinity.

  • Place a violet cloth or white candle beside you during stillness practices to signal the body and mind that you are entering sacred space.

Animal Totems

1.Crane-The crane is a powerful symbol of spiritual elevation and grace. With its slow, deliberate movements and ability to rise into the sky with elegance, the crane teaches us how to ascend without force. It carries the energy of longevity, higher purpose, and sacred timing; all key teachings of the crown.

2. Eagle- Eagle medicine carries the clearest resonance with divine sight and sovereignty. It teaches us how to rise above earthly attachments and see life from the perspective of Spirit. Eagle is not just visionary, it is holy, often representing divine will and sacred leadership.

3. Butterfly- Butterfly reminds us of the soul’s metamorphosis. It teaches us that spiritual awakening is a process of dissolving, surrendering, and emerging. Though often associated with the heart or third eye, butterfly’s final phase.. the emergence and flight… is deeply aligned with the crown.

4. Dragonfly- Dragonfly is a luminous messenger between realms. It holds the codes of light, illusion, and shape-shifting. In crown chakra work, dragonfly teaches us how to perceive beyond surface reality, to honor truth in motion, and to follow what glimmers in the soul.

5. White Dove- As a symbol of divine peace and grace, the white dove is a pure crown chakra totem. It carries the vibration of trust, spiritual gentleness, and holy surrender. When dove appears, we are being called to remember that we are always held, and never alone.

6. Phoenix- Though often placed with root or sacral, the rebirth of the Phoenix is a crown-level initiation. It symbolizes spiritual resurrection, transmutation, and soul ascension. Phoenix medicine comes to those walking through the fire of ego death, reminding us that from ash rises higher consciousness.

Oracle Closing PRAYER

Final Transmission from the Root to Crown Journey

We have arrived at the threshold of the stars, not to escape the body, but to remember its light. We have walked the spiral path from root to sky; through shadow, through truth, through fire, through breath, through sound, through sight and now, we stand in silence, listening for the voice of the divine that has lived within us all along.

Crown of light, open. Unbind the tethers of separation. Dissolve the illusion that we were ever exiled from Source.

We remember now.

We are not seekers, but rememberers.

We are not broken, but becoming.

We are not alone, but braided into a holy web that sings with the breath of All That Is.

May we walk forward from this temple not as students collecting tools,

but as living oracles; as medicine people, as vision holders, as midwives of a new world.

We bow to the unseen.

We honor the sacred stillness.

We trust the knowing that blooms beyond thought.

And we carry this light with humility,

not to rise above the world,

but to return to it; awake, aligned, and crowned with remembrance.

Aho. Ashe. Amen. And so it is.

Your temple is not above you, it is within.

-Oracle Code 1111
