What is Hapé?
Hapé (pronounced ha-PAY) is a sacred shamanic snuff medicine made from a finely ground blend of Amazonian tobacco (Mapacho) and other medicinal plants. This medicine is not recreational, it is a prayer. A portal. A sacred breath of the forest spirit offered to human hands by the wisdom keepers of the Amazon.
For thousands of years, Hapé has been used ceremonially by indigenous tribes such as the Yawanawá, Huni Kuin (Kaxinawá), Katukina, and Nukini peoples of Brazil and Peru. Each tribe carries its own unique preparation style, prayer lineage, and purpose for the blends; some used for spiritual protection, others for clarity, grounding, or visionary insight. In their traditions, the medicine is administered with respect, reverence, and intention, often by a pajé (shaman) or practitioner trained in its use.
Hapé is most often administered through the nose using a Tepi (when shared by a facilitator) or a Kuripe (when self-applied). The sacred blow is not violent…it is precise, intentional, and filled with the spirit of the forest. The medicine clears stagnant energy, brings the brain into harmony, rebalances the nervous system, opens the sinuses, and brings the user into deep presence with the Earth and Spirit.
Tobacco, in its pure Mapacho form, is considered a Master Plant Teacher in indigenous cosmology. It is used to cleanse, protect, and call in divine guidance. When combined with other healing plants such as Tsunu, Murici, Cacao, or Pau Pereira, the blend becomes a powerful vibrational ally for healing, prayer, and remembrance.
At this offering, you will not be “using” Hapé.
You will be in ceremony with it.
This is a co-regulated offering with the Earth herself.
We honor the indigenous lineages who stewarded this medicine long before it reached the Western world. We do not claim ownership. We sit in gratitude. And we invite you to do the same.

What To Expect at this Sacred Ceremony
The Harvest Hapé Ceremony is an invitation to slow down and enter into deep connection with yourself, the land, sacred medicine, and community. Gathering on October 31st, we will honor the harvest and the turning of the season, creating space to give thanks for what has grown, release what has reached its completion, and listen for what is ready to emerge. On this Halloween evening, we will also make room for remembrance, honoring our ancestors and the lives that have made our own possible.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed into a held and intentional space. We will begin the afternoon in circle, learning about Hapé’s origins, its traditional ceremonial use among Indigenous peoples of the Amazon, and the care, respect, and responsibility with which we approach this sacred medicine today.
From there, we will guide participants through the service of Hapé with intention and care, honoring each person’s pace and experience. Spacious time for quiet reflection, journaling, and connection with the land will allow you to listen inward and begin integrating what arises.
There will also be room for the simple joys of the harvest: carving pumpkins, sharing stories, and spending unhurried time together. Sacred practice and seasonal celebration will weave through the afternoon, allowing space for both depth and lightness, stillness and laughter.
Following the ceremony, we will gather around a delicious feast to nourish our bodies, anchor the experience, and celebrate the return to self in community.
Weather permitting, we will close with a bonfire on the land. Together, we will offer to the fire what is ready to be released and transmuted, send our prayers into the night sky, and give thanks for the medicine, the Indigenous peoples who carry and steward its traditions, and the blessings of the harvest.
Come as you are, with something to give thanks for, something to lay down, or simply a willingness to listen.

Who is this for?
This is for the ones who feel it in their bones; the call to return to something ancient, sacred, and true. It’s for those who know the mind cannot always heal what the soul is holding, who sense that real transformation begins not with doing, but with remembering.
This experience is for you if:
-You feel spiritually stagnant and long to reconnect with the Earth and your body
-You are holding grief, anger, or confusion and are ready to release it through reverent ritual
-You are craving ceremony, community, and a container that honors both science and spirit
-You’ve never sat with medicine before, but your heart says yes Or- you’ve walked this path for years and are seeking a new depth
We are not here to perform.
We are not here to escape.
This is not a party. This is a prayer.
If you’ve been longing to sit with the Earth in sacred reciprocity; to breathe, purge, listen, and receive -this is your place. This is your moment.
Come as you are. You will be met.
*Offering open to men and women 18+

Where Our Medicine Comes From
The Hapé we serve in this gathering comes from Jaguar Whisper, a stewarded medicine line founded by Amir Leron and Lucia Maria. Jaguar Whisper exists to bridge traditional Indigenous lineages with the modern world in a way that is ethical, relational, and deeply respectful. Their medicines are crafted within traditional lineage, prayed over and blessed, and sourced through fair trade relationships that honor the people, plants, and spirits behind the work. This is not mass-produced medicine, nor is it transactional. It is living prayer, carried with integrity. We feel deeply blessed to work with Jaguar Whisper and to share this medicine in a way that honors its origins and the hands and hearts that brought it forward.

Meet The Facilitators
Paul Hagenmayer
Paul Hagenmayer has been studying plant medicine and energy work for more than 25 years. He works extensively with several indigenous traditions, including the Huni Kuin from South America, the North American Lakota Nation, as well as the Santo Daime church, the Bwiti from Gabon and others.
Paul has studied sound healing through The Acutonics Institute of Integrative Medicine in New Mexico and has worked closely with two of their senior course instructors who have mentored him in deepening his skills and developing a style that incorporates chanting, drumming, as well as other instruments.
The result is the creation of a powerful healing current that has beautiful, often profound results. From emotional balancing and relieving stress, to healing physical and psychological injuries, plant medicine and the indigenous traditions that make use of them are powerful avenues to achieve optimal health.
Meet The Facilitators
Ayla Morrow
Ayla Morrow carries Hapé medicine with deep reverence, humility, and responsibility. Before offering Hapé in any capacity, Ayla spent over a year in devoted study and relationship with the medicine. This time was rooted in listening, learning, and demonstrating the capacity to sit with Hapé in integrity. Her training took place within the Amazonian tradition, specifically through the lineage of the Huni Kuin people.
Being invited into this lineage is a privilege. Prior to carrying or sharing the medicine, Ayla sat directly with her teachers and was asked to show discernment, respect, and readiness for the responsibility Hapé carries. She received blessings through her teachers and their teachers, including a blessing from a Txuna, or Pajé, within the Huni Kuin tradition. This blessing is not a title, but a responsibility she holds with care.
Hapé is not offered casually. It is a living medicine that carries lineage, prayer, and ancestral memory. To facilitate it requires presence, restraint, and an ongoing relationship with the traditions that protect it.
Alongside this work, Ayla is an Oracle healer and ancestral medicine woman, deeply rooted in her Cherokee and Norse bloodlines. Her facilitation is informed by both ancient traditions and modern, trauma-informed understanding, with an emphasis on consent, pacing, and nervous system safety.
It is an honor for her to carry this medicine and to sit with others in its presence.
Meet tHE gUARDIANS
Tabitha Millsop
Tabitha Millsop is a Quantum Energy Healer who relies on deep intuitive guidance to blend multiple modalities, to support clients while they release energetic imbalances, recalibrate their nervous systems, and return to wholeness.
Her journey into helping others heal themselves began with learning to heal herself first. Born with heart disease and having navigated years of chronic illness, Tabitha has spent over two decades mastering the art of personal transformation. A car accident later became the catalyst that propelled her into understanding how to heal the emotional and energetic roots of pain.
Today, Tabitha’s trauma-informed practice is a sanctuary for empaths, caregivers, and heart-centered humans who are ready to feel lighter, clearer, and deeply connected to themselves. Through a powerful fusion of the Body Code, Quantum Reiki, and sound healing, she intuitively listens to the body’s wisdom. Guided by subtle energy, the client's innate self-healing intelligence, and compassionate presence, she creates a safe and supportive space where clients are gently held as they release, restore energetic balance, and return to a grounded sense of wholeness.
Tabitha’s work isn’t just about healing — it’s about remembering who you are beneath the noise, and reclaiming your right to thrive.
Meet tHE gUARDIANS
Dr. Mihya Weber
Dr. Weber has been working with Hapé in personal practice for almost the past year, building a thoughtful and intentional relationship with the medicine. As she continues her journey toward serving others, she steps into guardianship with deep respect for the traditions through which Hapé has come to her.
As a trauma-informed psychologist, Dr. Weber brings a strong understanding of nervous system regulation, emotional safety, and attunement into ceremonial space. Her presence is calm and unobtrusive—there if needed, steady throughout—helping the container feel safe and supported so participants can stay with their own experience.
Beyond her clinical experience, Dr. Weber understands surrender as a lived process. She also brings her energy work into the space, using gentle, calming techniques to support grounding, integration, and offer participants another layer of support as they move through their experience. In her way of holding space, there is an invitation to soften, let go of control, and allow the medicine to do what it does best, without force or expectation.
Meet tHE gUARDIANS
Christian Auerbach
Christian will be offering his stable presence in support of the space. He began working with Hapé about a year ago, initially with the intention of personal healing and finding greater inner peace. His relationship with the medicine has been rooted in consistent personal practice, guided by the belief that plant medicines can and do serve as allies and teachers, offering insight into ourselves and our connection to the greater whole. This understanding has led him to walk a path of service. Christian approaches guardianship with humility and respect for the medicine’s intelligence. He allows the medicine to do its work while offering awareness and support when needed, with careful attention to how the space is held. Through his steadiness, Christian helps foster a sense of safety within the container. His presence supports clear boundaries and a calm atmosphere, allowing participants to engage more fully with their own experience. He honors each person’s process and brings a balanced approach to guardianship, remaining committed to the wellbeing of everyone gathered.
FAQs
-
Yes. Hapé is completely legal and is honored as a sacred, non hallucinogenic plant medicine. It is a smokeless tobacco preparation made primarily from nicotiana rustica (mapacho) and other medicinal plants, traditionally used in ceremony to clear, ground and connect. This offering is for adults 18+ only and is not marketed or administered as a medical treatment. You are entering into a legal, reverent and spirit centered experience.
-
Hapé is generally safe when served in a ceremonial setting by a trained and attuned facilitator. That said, it is a potent plant medicine and may cause temporary physical responses such as nausea, lightheadedness, increased mucus production, or emotional release. These effects are part of the cleansing and clearing process. It is not recommended for those who are pregnant, have uncontrolled high blood pressure, or are highly sensitive to tobacco. If you have any medical conditions or are taking prescription medications, please disclose this ahead of time so the ceremony can be approached with the utmost care and safety.
-
Preparation begins with presence. In the 24 hours leading up to ceremony, avoid alcohol, recreational substances, and heavy or processed foods. Arrive well-hydrated, having eaten lightly, and allow yourself time to settle before and after the experience…this is sacred space, not to be rushed.
You will be asked to come with a clear intention. This might be something you’re ready to release, a prayer you’re holding, a question for Spirit, or simply the desire to reconnect more deeply with yourself. Your intention will serve as a guiding thread through the experience, anchoring your process and helping the medicine meet you where you are.
You are welcome to bring a journal, water, or a small item for the space if it feels aligned. Most importantly, bring yourself, open, honest, and willing. The medicine will do the rest.
-
Please bring a blanket or a comfortable folding chair for the evening bonfire, where we’ll gather in shared reflection and warmth after ceremony. You may also wish to bring a water bottle, journal, or a small personal item for the space…something meaningful to you, like a crystal, photo, or sacred object. Wear comfortable clothing and layers, as temperatures may shift. Most importantly, come as you are, with your heart open and your intention held close. Everything else is secondary to your presence.
