Welcome to The Living Loop
The Living Loop is a monthly Zoom gathering hosted by Ayla and Soula, created for conscious, awake humans who are committed to integration, embodiment, and truth-rooted spiritual expansion.
Each month, we gather around a living theme. Topics may include medicine integration, energetic and spiritual embodiment, navigating different energy centers, and what it means to move through the world awake, grounded, and in integrity. The focus shifts based on the group and what is most alive and needed.
This space exists as an inner community within The Good Medicine Collective. It is not a class and not a performance. It is a place for real conversation, shared reflection, and grounded connection with others walking a conscious path. You are here to integrate, explore, expand, and walk forward resourced.
Welcome to The Loop.

Understanding Fascia, Energy Work and the Architecture of healing
April’s Living Loop call opens a profound doorway into one of the most misunderstood and under-taught systems in the human body: fascia. Fascia is not simply connective tissue. It is the living web that holds your organs in place, wraps your muscles, encases your nerves, and transmits force, sensation, and information throughout your entire being. It is the architecture of form. The matrix of memory. The bridge between structure and spirit. When we begin to understand fascia, we begin to understand how trauma is stored, how emotion becomes embodied, and how healing can occur not only physically, but energetically and spiritually as well.
Fascia is responsive. It listens. It contracts under stress, dehydration, fear, and injury. It softens with safety, hydration, touch, and presence. Because fascia is richly innervated and intimately connected to the nervous system, it becomes a storage vault for lived experience. Chronic tension patterns, recurring pain, emotional reactivity, and even energetic stagnation often trace back to fascial restriction. When we work with fascia, we are not simply stretching tissue. We are reorganizing communication within the body. We are inviting coherence back into the system.
This month, we explore fascia through both a scientific and energetic lens. We will talk about how it functions biomechanically, how it influences posture and movement, and how it serves as a conductor of subtle energy. We will explore the relationship between fascia and trauma, fascia and breath, fascia and the heart field. You will begin to see how this connective network forms a literal and metaphorical web that binds body, mind, and spirit into one unified system. Healing fascia is healing the whole.
It is a deep honor to welcome our April guest teacher, Maria Alfieris, founder of Magical Hands Physical Therapy. Maria has been a physical therapist for over 40 years and has devoted her life to studying, teaching, and embodying the healing power of fascia. She travels the world sharing her techniques with practitioners and laypeople alike, empowering individuals to understand their own bodies as intelligent, self-organizing systems. Maria is a fascia release teacher, an energy worker, and a true steward of collective healing. Her work bridges precision science with intuitive wisdom in a way that is both grounded and transformative.
Maria has also hosted workshops at the Medicine House, where fascia release and horse medicine beautifully intertwine. Watching her teach is witnessing devotion in motion. She carries decades of knowledge with humility, clarity, and deep reverence for the human body. To have her join our Living Loop community this April is a gift. Together, we will explore how fascia holds our stories, how it can be unwound with skill and presence, and how reconnecting to this living web restores integrity not only to the body, but to the soul.
This call will be experiential, educational, and deeply embodied. Come curious. Come open. Come ready to feel yourself in a new way.

Maria Alfieris' Story
Growing up, I suffered from an asthmatic condition that impaired my entire life. After years of struggling, by 1984 I found myself in a place of a desperate need to heal. I was attending physical therapy school where I met a fellow student that introduced me to Barbara Brennan's new book at the time, "Hands of Light." The book had a great impact on me and I felt inspired to explore this path to healing. I began studying deep fascia work with all types of practitioners and expanded to other bodywork methods including visceral manipulation with the Barral Institute. After seeing the miracles brought by this line of work, I decided to begin practicing on myself in an attempt to heal my asthmatic condition that had progressively held me back my entire life. I began with a lot of fascia work combined with visceral release on my body. I instantly saw powerful improvements in my ability to let go and deep breathing. Having spent most of my life in the sympathetic response state, shifting to the parasympathetic state through this work brought instant healing and a place of "wellbeing." Seeing the possibilities and power of this transformation inspired me to share this knowledge as I was working in the field of Physical Therapy.
I found myself in a Gestalt Psychotherapy study group for four years and studying Cranial Sacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute. I supported my bodywork with spiritual healing through visualization, affirmations and applying principles of "The Course in Miracles."I also began a journey of fasting, colonies, acupuncture and Chinese herbs. All of these efforts allowed me to significantly reduce the dosage of medication I had been on for 23 years. My work evolved to a deeper study of life coaching after joining lyanla Vanzant's two-year Spiritual Life Coaching Program and then eventually the certification program. I integrated life more with working with people with the powerful knowledge I have gained over the years.
My years of studying the works, writings and workshops of people like Louise Hay, Marianne Williamson, Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, Shakti Gawain, lyanla Vanzant, and so many more; I learned one common denominator which was the body's innate healing system kicks in when compassion, persistence, forgiveness and self love are the intention to heal. I am dedicated to using my hands to release people's fascia while empowering them to live from a place of love so we can all have our power back and heal. I am now on a mission to spread my knowledge and show people how to release their stored emotions and negative energy to get on the path to self-love so they can live the happy and joyous life they deserve.
I would be honored to help you through your journey. Join me to heal yourself inside and out and reclaim the fulfilling life you are meant to have!
